iOS & macOS Developer
Hi, I'm Nguyen Thanh Hung.
Builder of native apps and developer tools. I enjoy building software that feels at home on macOS — most of my projects begin by solving problems I encounter in my own workflow. Sometimes they grow into tools that other developers find useful too.
About
Why I build software
I love creating software that solves real problems. Most of the projects I build begin with one simple question: "Would this make my own workflow better?" If the answer is yes, I keep building.
Sometimes those personal tools grow into projects that other developers find useful as well.
I enjoy working close to the system — networking, file systems, performance optimization, and designing interfaces that feel truly native on macOS.
Rather than chasing trends, I prefer building software that is simple, fast, reliable and enjoyable to use every day.
I believe great software isn't defined by the number of features it has. It's defined by how naturally it fits into someone's workflow.
Current projects
What I'm building
TonyProxy Active
Modern HTTP debugging for macOS — a native developer tool for capturing, inspecting, modifying, and replaying HTTP/HTTPS traffic. Built with Swift and AppKit.
Nature Desktop
Animated nature live wallpapers for Mac — landscapes, rain, snow, and falling leaves rendered quietly behind your windows.
Open Source
Swift libraries, utilities, and small tools created to solve everyday development problems. Always evolving.
Experiments
Weekend projects exploring networking, macOS internals, performance optimization, and developer tooling. Some stay experiments. Some eventually become real products.
TJLog Early development
Collects and filters live logs from iOS, iPadOS, and macOS — plus logs captured over the network — in one place.
SW3518 Monitor
Firmware for an ESP32-based fast-charger monitor — reads voltage, current, and protocol data over I2C, shows it on an OLED display, and exposes a web dashboard with OTA updates.
Professional work
I also work professionally on secure cloud storage and file synchronization technologies, helping build reliable solutions used in production environments. The experience gained from professional projects often inspires improvements in my personal software.

Philosophy
What guides the work
Build Native
Software should feel at home on the platform.
Developer Experience
Small details matter. Good tools remove friction.
Performance
Fast startup, low memory usage, responsive interfaces.
Continuous Learning
Always exploring, always improving, always curious.
Timeline
How I got here
“Build the software you wish already existed.”
Outside of coding
When I'm away from the keyboard, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new ideas, and turning small weekend experiments into side projects. Curiosity often leads to my next project.
Open source
Built in the open
I enjoy sharing ideas and learning from other developers. Bug reports, feature requests, and discussions are always welcome. The best software grows through collaboration.
